Refund policy

We offer a 30-day return window, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return, for any reason.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition as when you received it — unused, unworn, with tags, and in the original packaging. Proof of purchase is also required.

Return items must be shipped to:

1. E-mail help@chess-set.co.uk with your order number.  
2. We’ll confirm the return and provide instructions.  
3. Send the item to:

Please note:
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, unless the item is defective or we made a mistake in your order.
Unsolicited returns (sent without prior request) will not be accepted.


📦 Damaged or Wrong Items

Please inspect your order upon delivery. If your item is damaged, defective, or incorrect, contact us immediately so we can resolve the issue.


🚫 Non-returnable items

We do not accept returns on:

  • Perishable goods (e.g., food, flowers, plants)

  • Custom-made or personalized products

  • Personal care items (e.g., cosmetics)

  • Hazardous materials or flammable liquids/gases

  • Sale items and gift cards


🔁 Exchanges

If you wish to exchange an item, please return it first. Once your return is approved, you can place a new order.


🇪🇺 European Union Customers – 14-Day Cooling Off Period

If your order was shipped to the European Union, you have the legal right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason, without justification — in accordance with EU consumer laws.

This 14-day period is included within our 30-day return policy.
As with all returns, items must be in original condition, and return shipping costs are your responsibility.


💳 Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return, we’ll notify you of the approval status.
If approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method within 10 business days.
Please note that bank or card processing times may vary.
